If you're looking to get the most out of your cannabis concentrates, you might want to consider an electronic dab rig. An E Rig eliminates the need for torches, thermometers, and timers with precise electronic heating. While not all E Rigs do a great job, there are some devices out there that can give a great dabbing experience to a beginner or even a seasoned stoner. Unlike other device lists out there, I've extensively tested these devices live on my Twitch Stream. Here are the best devices as of 2024. Also you can use a "Cewpins" discount code on many of these devices to save money. Puffco Peak Pro
The Puffco Peak Pro is undoubtedly the best electronic dab rig on the market by far. You can tell this is true because so many devices are copying what the Puffco Peak has been doing for years. Puffco has released a number of impressive products throughout the years and has inspired many other companies to follow in their foot steps. The updated V2 Peak Pro is really impressive and comes with a 3D Chamber. The glass also has laser cut holes for some pretty solid percolation. With the Peak Pro you get the most customization compared to any other E-Rig and you can really dial in the hits to suit your dabbing preferences. While it is one of the most expensive devices on the market at $420, you truly are working with the best.
Cross Core 2.1 Electric Dab Rig
I couldn't make this list without including one of the Best Cheap E Rigs you can get, the Crossing Core 2.1. There are a lot of devices out there made up of a battery base, an atomizer, and a glass top that just don't hit like they should. The Cross Core actually provides some solid dab hits.
This Core has a number of glass top options and you can even get a few different atomizer options. There is minimal customization with only 4 temperature settings and 1 time setting of 80 seconds. However, the temp settings are pretty solid and you can always cut that 80 second hit short if you don't want to dab that long.
The Crossing Core is one of the lower cost E Rigs on the market that still does a great job for around $140.
Puffco Peak
If you're not looking to shell out the $420 for the Puffco Peak Pro but would still like something similar, the New Peak from Puffco is a great option. This is a 2024 update of their original peak that was released on 2018. They've updated quite a few things on this and have included a 3D chamber along with a joystick cap. While you won't have access to the 3DXL like the Peak Pro, you will have access some amazing dabs.
The glass fitting for all Peaks and Peak pros are the same so all of your glass should work with either devices, even the old 2018 Peak. One of the biggest things to note is this E Rig has a much better battery life than most other E Rigs and you can get a surprising 30+ hits under the right conditions. You'd be lucky to get more than 15 on a lot of other devices.
BOMB Pro E Rig Portable Electric Dab Rig
The BOMB portable electric Dab Rig is another great low cost option. I've tried a few versions of this devices and I have been able to get some really solid hits. This device offers a wide temperature range 200-700℉, which honestly is too wide of a range. You're likely not going to go under 350 or above 550.
The BOMB has a surprisingly large chamber for such a small device. The device is slightly smaller than the Core and the Peak. Another thing to note is the glass fitting is the same size as the Puffco Peak, however it sits at a different angle. This means a lot of your glass might fit, but not work as well on the BOMB. You can get this device for around $180-$200.
JCVAP Pockety
The Pockety by JCVAP is an interesting take on Electric Dab rigs because they give you more chamber options than any other devices. You can do your dabs off Quartz, Titanium, Ruby, ALN, SiC, and Diamondium. The atomizer fitting is also the same style as the Puffco and I've been able to swap my chambers back and forth. However, sometimes the Puffco has trouble reading 3rd party chambers.
The Pockety can fit in your pocket like the name suggests, but it is also about the same size as the other devices. The flatter shape to it might make it slide in a pocket easier, but also makes it harder to balance on a flat surface. You can get the Pockety for around $150-$190 depending on your chamber selection.
(noteworthy) Focus V Carta 2
Because I know some Carta fan boys will cry because I didn't include this... here it is. This might be one of the more blatant Puffco knockoffs that does a decent job. I will say compared to the other options, this one is quite pricey for what you're getting. I've had battery issues with mine and I've heard many similar complains from my Twitch and Discord community.
They recently dropped their version of the 3DXL chamber, the Intelli-Core MAX. Unlike than the Puffco Peak, the Carta 2 also has a flower atomizer option. However, I was unable to get mine to work and I've only heard negative things from people who have had success getting it to function. I can't personally recommend you get this device at $375, but I know some people go out of their way to get the stuff I say sucks.
Conclusion
One thing people don't realize is they will most likely use less concentrates with an electric dab rig. Because the devices are precise and efficient, you can typically get more out of less dabs. The safety factor is also a huge thing to consider. No one has ever burned their house down with an E Rig, I can't say the same thing for a blow torch. Check out my Twitch stream to see what device I'm testing next!
